Longines has given the Master Collection a considered reset, and it’s the kind of update that matters because this line sits at the heart of the brand’s traditional watchmaking offer.
The new range doesn’t abandon the familiar dress-watch codes that have defined the collection since 2005, but it does make them feel more focused, better organised and easier to navigate.
With 20 new references across four case sizes, the refreshed Master Collection looks less like an assortment and more like a coherent family.

This redesign concentrates on the collection’s core dress-watch identity, with time-and-date models that feel more consistent across sizes.
The previous family offered a wide spread of case diameters and dial treatments, which gave buyers plenty of choice but also created a slightly uneven visual language.
The new selection narrows the case offering to 30mm, 34mm, 39mm and 41mm, giving the collection a cleaner structure without losing its wide wrist appeal.
Across the range, polished cases are paired with smooth concave bezels, larger notched crowns and sapphire casebacks that reveal the automatic movements inside.
Barleycorn dials and familiar Longines restraint
The barleycorn dial pattern remains the collection’s signature detail, bringing a traditional guilloché-adjacent texture without pushing the watch into ornament for ornament’s sake.
Longines has also revised the leaf-shaped hands, while the date remains positioned at 3 o’clock in a framed aperture.
In 41mm, the collection makes its strongest visual statement with silver or blue barleycorn dials, applied Arabic numerals and either blued-steel or rhodium-plated hands depending on the configuration.
The 41mm line also includes two silver-dial references with Eastern Arabic numerals, a distinctive choice that gives the most traditionally proportioned model a more cosmopolitan character.
The 39mm versions follow a similar path with silver or blue barleycorn dials, applied Arabic numerals and the same overall automatic platform, but without the Eastern Arabic numeral variants.
Smaller cases with mother-of-pearl and two-tone options
The 34mm and 30mm models soften the formula with options that include white mother-of-pearl dials, 11 diamond indices and a barleycorn pattern placed around the dial periphery.
For buyers who prefer a more classical execution, both smaller sizes are also available with full barleycorn dials and applied Arabic numerals.
Longines has added two-tone variants here as well, using yellow or rose gold-capped bezels, matching 18k gold crowns and gold-plated hands.

Movements, bracelets and daily usability
The 34mm, 39mm and 41mm models use the Longines calibre L888.5, an automatic movement with a silicon balance spring, 25,200vph frequency and a 72-hour power reserve.
The 30mm models are powered by the automatic calibre L592.5.
Every new reference has a sapphire crystal on the front and back, along with 30 metres of water resistance.
The bracelets and straps have also been reworked, which may be one of the more meaningful updates in day-to-day ownership.
The stainless steel bracelets now use shortened links and a micro-adjustable folding clasp, while the alligator leather straps gain a new folding clasp with micro-adjustment.
