Laine Watches has reached its 10th anniversary with the kind of release that feels true to the atelier’s identity.
Rather than chasing complication counts or oversized cases, the Finnish-led, Neuchâtel-based independent is leaning into proportion, dial craft and movement decoration with a new 33mm P33 and a refreshed P37 series.
For collectors who care about engine turning, hand finishing and restrained dress-watch geometry, these are quietly significant additions.

At a glance
- Laine Watches is celebrating 10 years with the new 33mm P33 and five fresh versions of the hand-wound P37.
- The P33 introduces a compact polished steel case and a hand-turned double guilloché dial.
- The P37 is limited to 99 numbered watches across five dial executions, priced at CHF 9,900 excluding taxes.
A smaller case with serious dial work
The new P33 is the most compact watch Laine has put forward, measuring 33mm across, 8mm thick and 41mm from lug to lug.
That size immediately places it in conversation with early-20th-century dress watches, where presence came less from diameter and more from shape, finishing and dial architecture.
The polished steel case keeps the frame simple, allowing the dial to carry much of the visual weight.

Laine has given the P33 a hand-cut double guilloché dial, produced on a manually operated engine-turning machine.
The silver-toned dial is paired with polished, domed, heat-blued hands with a syringe-inspired profile, cut from 0.2mm steel plate.
The hour markers are equally considered, with a concave, domed form and mirror-polished finish that should give the small dial more depth than its dimensions suggest.

The P37 gains five new dial identities
The anniversary collection also brings five new versions of the P37, Laine’s 37mm hand-wound model in a polished steel case.
Unlike the minimalist two-hand P33, these P37 models add a small seconds display and use their dials to separate each execution.
Taivas uses a sky-blue dial with a twill-weave guilloché pattern and white gold Breguet-style numerals.

Tulli moves warmer, with a salmon dial, Spider-pattern guilloché, heat-blued hands and straight baton markers.
Meri combines a grey-blue tone with diamond guilloché and white gold numerals, while Lumi uses an inverted triple grain de riz pattern with blued Breguet-style numerals.
Kaamos rounds out the set with a violet-blue dial, modified flame guilloché and white gold numerals.

Across all five variations, the P37 is limited to 99 numbered watches in total.
Decoration remains the real signature
Laine’s appeal has always sat in a precise corner of independent watchmaking.
The atelier doesn’t position itself around manufacturing every component from scratch, but around the transformation of proven movements through extensive decoration, finishing and visual character.

Both the P33 and P37 use the Peseux 7001 hand-wound calibre architecture, with Laine’s own finishing work bringing the movement into the brand’s language.
For the P33, the calibre receives an in-house rose gold-coloured bridge with hand-turned guilloché, along with black-polished steel bridges, a black-polished crown cap and barrel screw, and 17 individually hand-polished steel parts.
The P37 follows the same spirit, with Laine bridges and screws, hand-finished internal angles, a frosted mainplate, a guilloché bridge and black-polished steel components.

That emphasis on visible handwork is the reason the watches sit apart from more conventional small-series dress pieces.

The P33 will likely attract collectors who have been waiting for Laine’s finishing and guilloché work in a genuinely compact case, while the new P37 dials offer a broader and more expressive route into the atelier’s hand-wound collection.
Together, they make the anniversary feel less like a commemorative gesture and more like a clear statement of what Laine does best.
