King Seiko has joined Seiko’s 145th anniversary celebrations with a new VANAC Limited Edition in White, a 41mm stainless steel integrated-bracelet watch limited to 800 pieces.
The release follows the wider anniversary theme of blue and white, but brings it into King Seiko’s sharper, more architectural VANAC line.
A white anniversary dial for the angular VANAC case
The watch uses the familiar modern VANAC case, measuring 41mm across and 14.3mm thick in stainless steel.

Those proportions give it more wrist presence than a conventional dress-leaning King Seiko, but they fit the VANAC brief as Seiko’s polished, faceted answer to the integrated-bracelet sports watch.
The case is defined by sharply cut surfaces, broad curving flanks and alternating brushed and polished finishing that soften the industrial feel without losing the 1970s character behind the design.
Blue details frame the textured white display
The dial keeps the anniversary palette focused, with a white central section carrying a horizontal gadroon pattern and a blue outer hour scale.

That blue is a familiar Seiko signature, and here it gives the watch a cleaner celebratory identity than a simple monochrome execution would have done.
The display is straightforward, with central hours, minutes and seconds, plus a date window at 3 o’clock for everyday use.
A subtle silver rim around the hour scale adds a little depth at the edge of the dial, matching the polished accents on the case and bracelet.

The 8L45 movement lifts it above the usual anniversary fare
Inside is Seiko’s automatic calibre 8L45, visible through the exhibition caseback and offering a 72-hour power reserve.
The movement is rated to -5/+10 seconds per day and is closely related to Grand Seiko’s 9S65 architecture, which gives the watch a more serious mechanical footing than its bright anniversary styling might first suggest.
Striped finishing appears across the rotor and movement plate, adding a view worth having through the back.

Price, production and who it suits
The King Seiko 145th Anniversary VANAC Limited Edition in White is priced at £2,900 and will be produced in a limited run of 800 pieces.
It comes on a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp and push-button release, and the case is rated to 100 metres of water resistance.
This is likely to appeal to collectors who want the sharper side of King Seiko rather than a purely retro dress watch, especially those drawn to integrated-bracelet design but looking for something outside the usual Swiss field.
