AW2, the internationally known studio led by Reda Amalou and Stéphanie Ledoux, has given the residence a calm, materially rich expression rooted in its setting.
Floor-to-ceiling glass is central to the experience, framing uninterrupted ocean views and allowing the home to catch both sunrise and sunset from one of Grand Cayman’s elevated natural points.
“We envisioned Ocean House as a contemporary Caribbean home, rooted in its environment yet refined in its expression,” said Reda Amalou, founder and partner at AW2.

The numbers are substantial, with more than 12,000 square feet of total living space divided almost evenly between interiors and exterior areas.
Inside, the penthouse includes five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a powder room, with high ceilings adding to the open, light-filled atmosphere.
The outdoor living space is the defining feature.
A private oceanfront terrace holds a 750-square-foot infinity pool with a sun shelf and integrated loungers, alongside a sunken lounge, a cabana and a pergola-covered dining area with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.
The material palette stays deliberately close to the landscape, using natural oak millwork, limestone flooring, marble and brass detailing.
In the kitchens, hand-crafted cabinetry is paired with appliances from Miele and Electrolux, while the primary bath uses luminous limestone and oversized soaking tubs positioned toward the horizon.
Mandarin Oriental service meets private ownership
The Ocean House Penthouse forms part of Mandarin Oriental Residences, Grand Cayman, a broader 67-acre development with more than 2,700 feet of ocean frontage and a secluded crescent beach.
The project is planned for completion in 2028 and will include a 91-key Mandarin Oriental hotel, 22 residences at Ocean House and 20 residences at Beach House.
For owners, the appeal is not only the private architecture but the access to Mandarin Oriental’s residential services and resort amenities.
Residents are set to have use of the private Ocean House Club, including a club room, ocean-view spa, infinity pool and fitness centre, as well as multiple oceanfront dining concepts and direct access to diving and marine activities.
