Hautlence has never treated time display as a flat exercise, and the Sphere remains one of its clearest statements of intent.
The new Sphere Series 5 pushes that idea into a cleaner, brighter register, using white across its case concept, hour sphere and strap while keeping the collection’s complex three-axis jumping-hour architecture intact.
Limited to 28 pieces, it makes its debut at the Salón Internacional de Alta Relojería in Mexico City.

At a glance
- Hautlence has introduced the Sphere Series 5, a white version of its three-dimensional jumping-hour watch.
- The watch uses a titanium hour sphere rotating on three axes, paired with a retrograde minute display.
- It is limited to 28 pieces, priced at CHF 72,200 excluding taxes, and launches first in Mexico.
A white chapter for the Sphere
The Sphere line began in 2023 with a blue-toned Series 1, establishing the collection’s defining multi-axis jumping-hour display.
Hautlence followed with the black-and-grey Series 2, the more compact titanium Series 3 with purple accents, and the olive-and-sand Series 4.
The Series 5 is less about adding another loud colourway and more about stripping the watch back to a single dominant tone.

White gives the already architectural design a sharper, almost technical presence, especially against the exposed mechanics and rhodium-plated dial structure.
The three-axis hour display remains the point
The central spectacle is still the spherical jumping hour mechanism.
Hours are displayed on a titanium sphere that rotates on three axes, controlled by four conical gears arranged around two inclined crossed axes.

At the top of each hour, the sphere turns to reveal the next numeral.
Minutes are handled separately by a retrograde hand that sweeps across a 180-degree sector, keeping the reading of time split between sculpture and indication.
For the Series 5, the hour sphere receives a white coating, while its engraved numerals are filled with grey Super-LumiNova.

The minute hand is made from micro-blasted brass with a sandblasted coating and also uses grey Super-LumiNova.
Applied minute numerals in Globolight sit on the sapphire dial, while the skeletonised brass base dial is rhodium plated and finished with a frosted surface.
A compact titanium case with real presence
The Grade 5 titanium case uses the more compact format introduced with the Sphere Series 3.

It measures 37mm by 45mm and 17.4mm thick including the sapphire crystal, or 11.5mm thick without it.
That thickness difference matters because the crystal is a central part of the watch’s visual architecture rather than a simple cover.
The case combines satin-finished and polished surfaces across the middle, horns, bezel and crown, giving the rectangular profile enough contrast to avoid looking monolithic.
An extra-hard sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and bevelled edges protects the dial side, while a sapphire back reveals the movement.
Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
Movement and Mexico launch context
The Sphere Series 5 is powered by the hand-wound A82 calibre.
The movement combines a base architecture from Hautlence sister company Moser with a display module designed and assembled by Hautlence.
It comprises 160 components, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a minimum power reserve of 72 hours.
The watch is delivered on a white suede strap with a titanium folding clasp.
For its first 30 days, the Sphere Series 5 launches exclusively in Mexico, and watches allocated to the Mexican market come with three interchangeable suede straps in white, green and red.
After that initial exclusivity period, deliveries include only the white suede strap.

The Sphere Series 5 is still a watch for collectors who prefer mechanical theatre over restraint, but the white treatment gives its complexity a cleaner frame.
It doesn’t make the Sphere conventional, and that’s precisely the point.
