Girard-Perregaux has given the Laureato Chronograph 42mm a warmer, more casual turn with a new two-tone execution pairing 904L stainless steel with 18K rose gold and an integrated brown rubber strap.
Rose Gold Around A Familiar Laureato Case
The case keeps the collection’s established 42mm diameter, 50.5mm lug-to-lug measurement and 12.16mm thickness, but adds rose gold to the octagonal bezel, crown and chronograph pushers.
Using steel for the case body keeps the watch from feeling overly formal, while 100 meters of water resistance reinforces its role as a practical luxury sports chronograph.
A Brown Hobnail Dial For The Two-Tone Theme
The dial carries the Laureato’s signature Clou de Paris texture in brown, matched by a rubber strap with the same hobnail motif.
Three snailed sub-dials handle running seconds, a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour totalizer, while a color-matched date window sits discreetly at 4:30.
Rose-gold-plated applied markers and hands bring the dial into line with the case hardware, with white Super-LumiNova adding useful low-light legibility.
The GP03300 Automatic Chronograph Caliber
Inside is the GP03300-27611, an in-house automatic chronograph movement with manual winding, hacking seconds, 63 jewels and a 4Hz frequency.
The caliber offers 46 hours of power reserve and is visible through a sapphire display back, showing finishing that includes perlage, Côtes de Genève, beveling, mirror polishing and brushed surfaces.
Price, First Run And Who It Suits
The Laureato has expanded significantly since its current generation arrived in 2016, and this version gives the chronograph line a relaxed alternative to full steel or bracelet-heavy two-tone designs.
Pricing is set at €26,800, US$26,000 or £21,600, with an initial production run of 50 pieces and a two-year warranty that can be extended to five years through online registration.
It is best read as a warm-weather Laureato Chronograph: polished enough for tailored settings, durable enough for travel and sport, and distinctive without letting the rose gold overwhelm the design.
