Earthen Company is still a young name in watches, but the Summit has already become a neat example of how much character can be packed into an accessible field watch.
The Hong Kong-based brand’s latest move is simple and effective, bringing three new ceramic case colours to the Summit MK2 without disturbing the compact proportions and practical automatic formula that gave the collection its footing.
The new models are Dune Devil, Glade and Après-Bleu, each priced at USD 899 before VAT.

At a glance
- Earthen has added three new ceramic colourways to the Summit MK2 collection.
- Each model uses a 38mm ceramic case, a domed sapphire crystal and a Miyota 9039 automatic movement.
- The watches join the permanent collection at USD 899 before VAT, with production tied to the brand’s current capacity.
Colour changes the Summit’s personality
The Summit began as a compact ceramic field watch with a 38mm case, an oversized crown and clean, legible dials.
That foundation remains intact here, but the mood has shifted away from the stark black-and-white look of earlier references.
Dune Devil uses a beige ceramic case with a brown dial, an orange crown accent and an orange rubber ring around the dial.

It’s the warmest of the trio, helped by its pairing of orange and dark brown FKM rubber straps.
Glade is the most visually playful version, with a dark green ceramic case and a full green lume dial.
In daylight it reads as a soft green-on-green watch, while the dial becomes the main event once the lights drop.

Après-Bleu takes the more restrained route with navy ceramic, a navy dial and cream-coloured hands and indexes.
It keeps close to the original Summit spirit, but the blue case and aged-tone details make it feel less severe on the wrist.
A ceramic field watch with practical dimensions
Ceramic is still an uncommon choice for a field-style watch, where stainless steel is usually the default.

On the Summit MK2, the material gives the watch a sharper, more contemporary presence without pushing the size into oversized territory.
All three models measure 38mm across and 10mm thick, with ceramic used for both the case and bezel.
The MK2 platform also brings a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, along with 100 metres of water resistance.

The oversized crown remains part of the watch’s identity, now with a coloured rubber ring set into its central recess.
Each caseback is ceramic and engraved with the model name.
The MK2 dial keeps legibility at the centre
The dial layout has been adjusted from the first Summit generation, replacing the Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock with rectangular indexes.

The inverted triangle at 12 o’clock remains, joined by oversized Arabic numerals and a railway-style outer track for quick reading.
The markers are multi-layered and pad-printed, a detail that gives the dial more depth than the price might suggest.
Earthen also keeps its skier-descent graphic above 6 o’clock, a small signature that helps separate the Summit from more anonymous tool-watch designs.

The hour and minute hands use luminous inserts, while the seconds hand carries a large-aperture counterweight.

The three new Summit MK2 models don’t try to reinvent Earthen’s field-watch idea, and that’s precisely the point.
By keeping the compact case, automatic movement and approachable pricing in place, these ceramic colourways give the collection more personality while preserving the straightforward appeal that made the Summit worth watching in the first place.
