Grade 5 titanium changes the feel, not the formula
The SUB 300 Ti5 arrives nearly six decades after the first SUB 300 of 1967, a model that helped define DOXA’s public-facing professional dive watch identity.
Rather than reworking the watch, DOXA has focused on material, using Grade 5 titanium for the case, screw-down crown and screw-in caseback.
The metal is roughly 40 percent lighter than stainless steel, while bringing strong resistance to corrosion and a high strength-to-weight ratio.
That matters on a dive watch because comfort is not a decorative concern.
A lighter case can make a 300-metre diver easier to wear for long periods, whether it’s strapped over gear or simply worn through a full day on land.
The familiar SUB 300 layout remains intact
The Ti5 keeps the established SUB 300 proportions, with a 42.50 mm case diameter, 45.00 mm lug-to-lug measurement, 13.40 mm thickness and 20 mm lug width.
A domed glass-box sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating preserves the vintage-leaning profile, while the 300-metre water resistance keeps the watch firmly in professional dive territory.
The bezel remains one of the most distinctive DOXA details.
Its patented unidirectional rotating design carries two scales, with depth on the outer track and dive time on the inner track for reading no-decompression limits associated with US Navy diving tables.
Legibility is treated with the seriousness expected from the model.
Super-LumiNova is used on the key dive indications, and the oversized minute hand remains the dial’s clearest point of reference when timing matters.
Seven colourways, including luminous Whitepearl dials
The titanium model enters the permanent collection in seven expressions, rather than as a single specialist variant.
The Professional keeps the orange dial most closely associated with the SUB family, while Sharkhunter brings a black dial and Caribbean uses deep blue.
Red Coral introduces a vivid cherry-red dial and is offered with either a matching red or black Dive Flex rubber strap.
The Whitepearl versions are the most visually distinct of the group.
Their dials are fully coated in Super-LumiNova, giving them a clean white appearance by day and a broad luminous glow in darkness.
Whitepearl can be paired with either a white or black Dive Flex rubber strap, while the other versions use tone-on-tone or black variants of the same woven-texture rubber strap.
Chronometer movement and collection context
Inside the SUB 300 Ti5 is a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, individually COSC-certified as a chronometer.
The 26-jewel calibre runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers around 38 hours of power reserve.
DOXA decorates the movement, though the emphasis here is firmly practical rather than exhibitionist.
Grade 5 titanium first appeared on the SUB 300 in a limited Clive Cussler edition introduced earlier in 2026, paired there with a two-level titanium dial.
This broader Ti5 release brings the material into the everyday collection while returning to the more familiar single-plane dials and established SUB colour palette.
