Bulgari’s Geneva Watch Days Trio Pushes the Octo Finissimo in Three Directions

Bulgari’s latest Geneva Watch Days launches show just how elastic the brand’s design language has become.

The headline piece is the Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter, a rare meeting between Bulgari’s ultra-thin architecture and one of independent watchmaking’s most recognisable visual signatures.

Alongside it sit the Octo Finissimo Dazzle and the Bulgari Titanio GMT and Chronograph, three watches that don’t try to speak with one voice.

Vianney Halter reimagines the Octo Finissimo

The Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter is the most unexpected of the group, partly because it marks the first time the Octo Finissimo has been interpreted through the eyes of an independent watchmaker.

Halter’s work has long leaned into retro-futurism, mechanical fantasy and the literary world of Jules Verne, which makes the Octo Finissimo a surprisingly natural platform.

The case keeps Bulgari’s angular discipline, but the dial architecture shifts the watch into Halter territory.

Four displays sit across a stepped and layered layout, with the hours and minutes offset near 2 o’clock and the dual-time indication positioned diagonally around 8 o’clock.

A red arrow small seconds hand is layered onto the GMT display, while a day-night indicator sits lower on the dial and an elongated date aperture occupies the upper left.

The rivet-style bezels around the circular displays give the watch its strongest character, bringing a nautical-machine quality that suits Halter’s vocabulary without overwhelming the Octo Finissimo case.

The white dial surfaces and blue hands also carry his familiar colour language, while both names appear on the dial.

Inside is Bulgari’s automatic BVF 200 calibre, an ultra-thin movement measuring 5.49mm thick and fitted with a platinum rotor.

It delivers a 60-hour power reserve and supports the watch’s mix of local time, GMT, small seconds, date and day-night functions.

The titanium version is limited to 30 pieces, while the rose-gold version is limited to just 10 pieces.

The Octo Finissimo Dazzle turns camouflage into surface design

The Octo Finissimo Dazzle takes the collection in a more graphic direction.

Rather than using colour or gem-setting to make the ultra-thin case stand out, Bulgari works with a black-and-white geometric motif that covers the sandblasted titanium case, dial and bracelet.

The pattern nods to the dazzle treatment used on pre-release cars during testing, where disruptive surface graphics make body shapes harder to read at a glance.

On a watch, that idea becomes more decorative than deceptive, but it gives the Octo Finissimo a sharp optical quality.

The 40mm case measures only 5.15mm thick, preserving the Finissimo’s essential thinness even as the exterior becomes far louder.

Power comes from the BVL 138, an ultra-thin automatic movement with a micro-rotor and a 60-hour power reserve.

The layout remains restrained beneath the surface treatment, with central hours and minutes and small seconds at 8 o’clock.

Bulgari Titanio makes the Aluminium formula tougher

The Bulgari Titanio GMT and Chronograph take a more practical route.

The idea is straightforward, but effective, with the familiar Bulgari Aluminium sports-watch format recast in titanium.

Titanium gives the design a more technical edge while preserving the lightweight appeal that made the Aluminium line distinctive.

Both Titanio models retain the black rubber bezel, a defining feature of the collection and a useful protective element on a sportier daily watch.

The monochrome treatment suits the material shift, with black dials, grey accents and white markings keeping the watches crisp rather than decorative.

The GMT is the smaller of the pair at 40mm and uses the B192 movement with a 50-hour power reserve.

The Chronograph measures 41mm and runs on the B381 movement, which offers a 42-hour power reserve.

Together, they feel like a more utility-minded evolution of Bulgari’s casual sports-watch line, especially for buyers who liked the look of the Aluminium but wanted a case material with greater everyday resilience.
