Bell & Ross has introduced the BR-03 Green Steel, a new stainless steel version of its square-cased pilot watch with a lacquered green dial and a noticeably cleaner display.
A greener take on the 41mm BR-03 case
The BR-03 has been one of Bell & Ross’s core designs since 2006, translating cockpit-instrument geometry into a wristwatch with the familiar round dial inside a square case.
This latest model uses the updated 41mm case introduced in 2023, measuring 9.65mm thick and finished with a mix of satin-brushed and polished stainless steel surfaces.
The four exposed corner screws remain, as does the practical 100-metre water-resistance rating, giving the watch the same functional character that has long defined the collection.
A lacquered dial without the usual minute track
The main change is the dial, which uses a sunray green finish that darkens toward the perimeter under a glossy lacquer coating.
Rather than leaning fully into the technical look of many BR-03 models, Bell & Ross removes the minute track and uses applied Arabic numerals with elongated baignoire-style hour markers.
The result is still recognisably BR-03, but the watch feels less like a pure cockpit instrument and more like a versatile steel daily wearer with a dressier streak.
BR-CAL.302 automatic movement inside
Power comes from the automatic BR-CAL.302-1, Bell & Ross’s Sellita SW300-1-derived calibre with a 28,800vph frequency and a 54-hour power reserve.
The movement keeps the feature set straightforward with central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and a date display.
White Super-LumiNova X1 is applied to the rhodium-plated hands and markers, producing a green glow in low light and preserving the legibility expected from the line.
Price, straps and availability
The Bell & Ross BR-03 Green Steel is delivered on a black box calfskin leather strap and includes an additional black synthetic fabric strap, both fitted with a satin-finished and polished steel pin buckle.
The reference BR03A-GN-ST/SCA is available now, priced at €3,990.
For collectors who like the BR-03 silhouette but want something less overtly tactical than the classic black-dial variants, this green lacquered edition is one of the more wearable recent interpretations of the design.
