Audemars Piguet has given the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph a distinctly warmer outlook with three new 42mm models in punchier seasonal colourways.
The Offshore has always been the more muscular side of the Royal Oak family, but this latest trio leans into energy rather than aggression.
Bright chronograph accents, Mega Tapisserie dials and a choice of steel or titanium keep the collection rooted in AP’s familiar sports-watch language while making it feel notably less restrained.

Colour leads the 42mm Royal Oak Offshore trio
The collection keeps the established 42mm Royal Oak Offshore profile, including the octagonal bezel, exposed screws and broad-shouldered case architecture that have defined the line for decades.
Two of the watches are cased in stainless steel, while the third uses titanium.
That split matters because the materials change the character of the watch more than the dimensions suggest.
Steel brings the brighter, more traditional Royal Oak presence, while titanium adds a lighter feel and a darker technical edge.
The most vivid version pairs a titanium case with a dark grey Mega Tapisserie dial, turquoise numerals and subdial accents, plus yellow detailing on the chronograph hands, tachymeter scale and 2 o’clock pusher.
It’s a striking combination by AP standards, especially within a collection that often relies on form and finish rather than overt colour.
The black-dial steel model is the quieter option, using pink chronograph accents and matching strap stitching to sharpen the layout without overwhelming it.
The third version uses a silver-toned Mega Tapisserie dial with black chronograph counters and orange accents, giving it the most motorsport-adjacent personality of the three.
The flyback calibre gives the brightness some purpose
Behind the colour is the calibre 4404, an automatic chronograph movement with a 70-hour power reserve.
That makes the watch practical across a long weekend, especially for owners who rotate between several pieces.
The movement includes a flyback chronograph function, allowing the chronograph to be stopped, reset and restarted with a single pusher action while it’s running.
It’s a feature with genuine utility for rapid timing sequences, whether that means laps, race intervals or other situations where restarting a measurement quickly matters.
All three watches also include hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph functions, with 100 metres of water resistance keeping the Offshore aligned with its sport-watch brief.

A brighter year for AP’s tool-watch side
This launch follows an earlier Offshore expansion this year that included chronographs and divers, giving 2026 a clear tool-watch emphasis for Audemars Piguet.
The new models don’t soften the Offshore’s proportions, but they do make the watch feel more playful and less severe.
