Union Glashütte has made the Silvretta Classic feel like part of its annual rhythm, and the latest Belisar Chronograph keeps that motoring connection firmly in view.
For 2026, the German watchmaker turns toward the visual language of 1980s rally cars, with a crisp white, grey and black dial lifted by yellow and red accents.
It’s a sizeable, practical chronograph with real event context, limited production and enough strap flexibility to move from weekend drives to daily wear.

A rally dial with 1980s energy
The most immediate change is the dial, which moves away from last year’s softer beige and grey palette in favour of something sharper and more motorsport-driven.
A white base is paired with a partially grey granulated section, while the yellow and red detailing gives the watch the feel of a period rally instrument panel rather than a simple commemorative colourway.
The black-ringed sub-dials carry red highlights, and the central chronograph seconds hand is finished with a red tip.
Black PVD-coated hands filled with Super-LumiNova echo the black tachymeter scale and help give the watch a stronger technical character.
The Belisar case keeps its muscular stance
The Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with screwed flanks, brushed and polished finishing, and a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
At 15.01mm thick and 52.99mm lug-to-lug, this is not a shy chronograph, but that scale suits the rally theme and the Belisar’s established personality.
Mushroom-shaped pushers and a large crown reinforce the sporting mood, while 100 metres of water resistance makes it more usable than a purely decorative event edition.
A screw-down sapphire crystal caseback completes the case, giving a view of the automatic movement inside.
A 65-hour chronograph under the bonnet
Inside is Union Glashütte’s calibre UNG-27.S1, an automatic cam-operated chronograph using the familiar Valjoux 7750 architecture.
The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of at least 65 hours.
It also uses a silicon balance spring, a practical upgrade that adds modern watchmaking relevance to an otherwise classic chronograph formula.
The display covers central hours and minutes, hacking small seconds, date, and chronograph functions with 60-second, 30-minute and 12-hour counters.
Strap versatility for the full rally mood
Union Glashütte includes three wearing options with the watch, all using a quick-change system.
The yellow textile strap with white stripes is the most expressive choice, while the stainless steel bracelet gives the Belisar a more everyday feel.
A black leather strap with yellow lining adds a subtler nod to the dial accents and rounds out the package.
The Silvretta Classic itself returns from 9 to 11 July 2026, bringing around 200 classic cars back to the Alpine roads of Austria’s Montafon region.
