The Fari Islands Festival is returning to the Maldives with a broader, more culturally layered second edition.
Running from 13 to 15 August 2026, the three-day programme will unfold across Patina Maldives, Fari Islands and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, bringing together performance, wellness, gastronomy, design and marine conservation.
This year’s defining name is Rosamund Pike, whose presence goes well beyond a celebrity appearance.

Rosamund Pike brings performance, reflection and purpose to Fari Islands
Pike, an Academy Award and BAFTA nominee as well as a Golden Globe, Emmy and Olivier Award winner, returns to Patina Maldives as both headline guest and creative participant.
Her festival role includes a solo address on creative expression, looking at the roles people choose to play in art, public life and private identity.
Before the festival opens, Pike will host a charity dinner in her role as Ambassador for MAG, the humanitarian organisation focused on clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance from conflict zones.
She will also lead a guided meditation in partnership with Lumenate, introducing Nova, a light therapy mask designed to help users access a calmer and more reflective state.
Her programme closes the loop between culture and place with a Maldivian cooking class at Kandu, the newly launched restaurant at Patina Maldives.
A three-day rhythm across two Maldives resorts
The 2026 edition is framed around the idea of “One Festival, Every Sense”, with each day designed to move from quiet morning rituals to afternoon conversations, evening gatherings and late-night performances.

Design, music and dining shape the 2026 lineup
Designer and cultural tastemaker Sean Wotherspoon joins the programme to create a collective art installation and design the official festival merchandise.
Best known for his Nike Air Max 1/97 collaboration, Wotherspoon brings a perspective rooted in streetwear, sustainability culture and contemporary collecting.
French musician and producer Sebastian Tellier will close the festival with a live piano set on the final night.
His appearance gives the weekend a distinctive musical endpoint, particularly after his recent appointment as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France.
The culinary programme is similarly ambitious.
Hong Kong-born chef Samuel Lee, founder of the Parisian neo-bistrot SENsation, will bring his precise Cantonese cooking shaped by contemporary French influence.
Tokyo-born dining collective WAGYUMAFIA will stage a showcase built around its highly focused approach to luxury beef culture and omakase-style hospitality.
Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, ranked No. 5 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, will partner with Michter’s on narrative-led cocktail experiences.
Danilo Pozone, Global Brand Manager of Sei Bellissimi, will also host curated fine spirits and cocktail-led sessions during the festival.
Wellness and hospitality remain central to the weekend
Bamford returns as the festival’s wellness partner for a second year, led by CJ Jones-Leake and Stephanie Waxberg.
The programme will include a new signature treatment at both resorts’ spas, alongside nutrition sessions and movement workshops.
