Norqain’s latest Freedom GMT takes a serious travel-watch platform and gives it a decidedly off-duty personality.

A Freedom GMT dressed for time off
The watch uses the familiar Freedom GMT case architecture in 316L stainless steel, measuring 40mm across, 14.5mm thick and 49.3mm from lug to lug.
It keeps the screw-down crown, box-type sapphire crystal, sapphire caseback and Norqain’s customisable plate on the left case flank.
Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, which fits the watch’s relaxed travel brief better than a purely desk-bound GMT ever could.
The real shift in character happens on the dial.
Norqain has used a matte white base as a canvas for a colourful world map, with small holiday-minded illustrations scattered across it.
There’s a kangaroo in Australia, a tuk-tuk in Thailand, a Hollywood studio reference and even a shark fin near 5 o’clock, giving the dial the feel of a travel diary rather than a conventional world-time display.
A multi-coloured 24-hour GMT ring runs around the perimeter with lifestyle cues for happy hour, sleep and coffee time.
The turquoise-tipped GMT hand tracks a second time zone, while rhodium-plated applied markers and faceted hands use white Super-LumiNova for low-light readability.
At 6 o’clock, the date window adds another wink, showing a holiday icon every seven days.
The NN20/2 keeps the travel credentials intact
Behind the colourful dial is the Norqain Manufacture Calibre NN20/2, an automatic true GMT movement produced by Kenissi.
The key practical feature is the independently adjustable local hour hand, which can be moved in one-hour jumps when changing time zones.
The date advances or reverses with the local hour hand, and the movement continues running while the adjustment is made.
That distinction matters, because this isn’t just a decorative GMT hand on a cheerful dial.
The NN20/2 is COSC-certified, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 70-hour power reserve.
Through the sapphire caseback, the movement shows Norqain’s “Adventure, Freedom, Independence” wording on the bridge and a branded oscillating weight.
The caseback also carries the Enjoy Life logo and “ONE of 500” inscription, so the movement view is intentionally framed by the limited-edition theme.
