Maurice Lacroix has used the Aikon’s tenth anniversary to make its integrated automatic chronograph feel more considered.
The new Aikon Automatic Chronograph keeps the collection’s recognisable architecture, but the important changes are practical ones. It’s smaller, cleaner on the wrist, more detailed on the dial and now fitted with a movement offering more than 60 hours of power reserve.
At a glance
- Maurice Lacroix has updated the Aikon Automatic Chronograph for the Aikon collection’s tenth anniversary.
- The watch now has a 42mm stainless steel case, redesigned rectangular pushers, a deeper Clous de Paris dial and an ML112 automatic calibre with over 60 hours of power reserve.
- It joins the permanent collection in five dial configurations, priced at CHF 3,150 or EUR 3,690 including taxes.
A smaller case with the same Aikon outline
The most meaningful change is the case size.

The updated stainless steel case now measures 42mm across and 14mm thick, a reduction from the previous automatic chronograph’s 44mm diameter and 15mm thickness.
That should give the watch a neater stance without losing the Aikon’s broad-shouldered integrated sports watch character.
The case remains satin-brushed and polished, with the bezel retaining the six polished claws that have become one of the collection’s most recognisable signatures.

The crown at 3 o’clock keeps its familiar form, now joined by a crown guard, while the caseback is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal.
Maurice Lacroix has also moved away from the previous screw-down chronograph pushers, replacing them with rectangular pushers said to be inspired by the earliest Aikon Chronograph models.
Water resistance is now rated to 100 metres, compared with 200 metres on the earlier model.

A deeper Clous de Paris dial and five configurations
The dial layout remains familiar, but the surface has more presence.
Maurice Lacroix has reworked its Clous de Paris pattern with a deeper raised pyramidal texture, giving the chronograph display a sharper visual rhythm.
The chronograph minutes are shown at 12 o’clock, chronograph hours at 6 o’clock and running seconds at 9 o’clock.

A day-date aperture sits at 3 o’clock, keeping the watch practical as a daily-wear chronograph rather than a pure timing instrument.
The rhodium-plated hands and indices have been subtly updated, while white Super-LumiNova is used for low-light legibility.
The collection opens with five references.

Three use matching dials and snailed counters in blue, black or green, while two bring more contrast with a silver dial and blue counters, or a gold-toned dial with black counters.
The ML112 movement gains a longer reserve
Inside is the latest version of the automatic ML112 calibre, supplied by Sellita and based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750 architecture.
It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and now delivers more than 60 hours of power reserve, a clear step up from the earlier model’s 42 hours.

The movement can be seen through the exhibition caseback, where Maurice Lacroix has specified perlage, Côtes de Genève decoration and a new openworked rotor carrying the brand logo.
Bracelet integration and daily usability
The watch is delivered on a stainless steel bracelet with satin-brushed links and polished accents.
Maurice Lacroix has fitted this new generation with its Easy Change system, allowing the bracelet to be swapped for an optional rubber strap without tools.

The release mechanism is concealed, which matters on an integrated design where exposed hardware can quickly disrupt the line of the case and bracelet.
As a permanent collection model rather than a limited anniversary piece, the updated Aikon Automatic Chronograph lands in a practical space for buyers who want the Aikon look with more mechanical substance than the original quartz-era models offered.

The update doesn’t try to reinvent the Aikon Automatic Chronograph, and that’s the point.

By tightening the proportions, refining the dial and giving the movement a more useful reserve, Maurice Lacroix has made one of its core sports chronographs feel more mature without sanding away the design language that made the Aikon central to the brand’s catalogue.
