Marshall’s move into TV sound was never going to look anonymous.
The Heston 120 brings the brand’s amplifier-coded design language into the living room, and its new cream finish makes that proposition feel more deliberate for interiors where the soundbar is meant to be seen rather than hidden.
The hardware stays the same, which means Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, 11 directional drivers and a tuning approach designed for both films and music.

A lighter look for Marshall’s first TV soundbar
The Heston 120 is Marshall’s first soundbar, marking the brand’s entry into the TV-sound category after decades of association with guitar amps, speakers and music culture.
In cream, the soundbar takes on a softer presence than the black version, making it easier to place in rooms where pale walls, lighter furniture and open shelving dominate.
It still carries the unmistakable Marshall cues, including knurled metal knobs, wrapped leather trims and a brushed metal panel.

That matters because soundbars often sit directly under the most visually dominant object in the room, and Marshall is treating the product as part of the furniture rather than a black strip to disguise.
Built for films and music
The Heston 120 uses 11 drivers facing in different directions to create a more spacious soundstage, with spatial audio used to throw effects and music around the room.
Dolby Atmos and DTS-X support put it firmly in home cinema territory, while the brand’s own positioning is just as focused on music playback after the credits roll.

Anders Olsson, Senior Product Manager at Marshall Group, said: “We know that soundbar owners use their soundbar to listen to music, yet most soundbars are not built for both music and TV. This gave us a reason to exist and an opportunity to really shine with our legacy in music and audio.”
Marshall also points to a bass performance engineered for depth and impact, with the aim of giving film effects greater physicality without making music feel like an afterthought.
Ed Camphor, Audio Technology and Tuning Lead at Marshall Group, said: “We spent hundreds of hours fine tuning Heston 120. It was important to us that we spent equal time and effort on both TV and music, not one over the other. Everything inside is tailored and engineered to have very specific roles to give you an optimal audio experience, no matter what you’re watching or listening to.”
Connectivity and control without losing the analogue feel
For TV setups, Heston 120 connects via HDMI eARC, with HDMI pass-through available for external devices.
For music, it supports Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth with LE Audio and Auracast, and an analogue RCA input for external music players.
The analogue control panel is one of the more characterful touches, allowing bass and treble adjustments directly from the unit.
Presets can also be saved for quick access to a favourite playlist or radio station.
Sound modes include Music, Movie, Night and Voice, while the Marshall app adds remote control over volume and EQ from elsewhere in the home.
For the TV-sound range, the app also introduces room calibration, intended to help tailor the soundbar’s acoustic output to its space.
A repairable design in a growing range
Marshall has built repairability into Heston 120, with replaceable parts including the fret, end caps, drivers and circuit boards.
That detail gives the soundbar a more considered ownership proposition than many sealed home audio products.
The Heston 120 is also no longer alone in Marshall’s TV-sound line-up, with the Heston 60 and Heston Sub 200 joining the range.
The cream version of the soundbar now visually aligns with the Cream Heston Sub 200, which gives buyers the option of building out a fuller setup without breaking the palette.
