Longines has unveiled a limited-edition HydroConquest created for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Based on the latest generation of the brand’s modern dive watch, the new model combines 300-metre water resistance, a ceramic bezel and an automatic movement with a colour scheme tied to the upcoming Games.
A sports connection that dates back decades
Longines’ link with the Commonwealth Games goes back to 1962, reflecting the Swiss brand’s long-running role in sports timekeeping. The new HydroConquest Commonwealth Games 2026 follows previous commemorative models, including the edition made for Birmingham 2022.
This Glasgow 2026 version uses the current HydroConquest platform, which was recently updated with a more contemporary design aligned with the HydroConquest GMT models.
Two case sizes, same dive-watch specification
The watch will be available in both 39mm and 42mm stainless steel cases. Both sizes measure 11.7mm thick and feature a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and 300 metres of water resistance.
The unidirectional bezel uses a black ceramic insert with teal-toned numerals and a luminous marker at 12 o’clock. On the back, the solid screw-down caseback is engraved with the official Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games logo, along with a “Limited Edition – One of 2026” inscription.
A Glasgow 2026 colour palette
The main visual distinction is the dial. Longines uses a gradient finish that shifts from vivid teal to deep black, echoing the Glasgow 2026 colours of steel grey, turquoise, pink and purple.
The HydroConquest name appears in violet, while the central seconds hand has a pink tip. Rhodium-plated hands and applied geometric hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova for legibility. A date window sits at 3 o’clock and is outlined in white.
Automatic calibre with 72-hour power reserve
Inside is the Longines calibre L888.5, an automatic movement exclusive to the brand and based on the ETA 2892 architecture. It runs at 25,200 vibrations per hour and offers an approximate 72-hour power reserve.
The movement also uses a silicon balance spring, improving resistance to magnetism and exceeding ISO standards by a significant margin, according to the source material.
Strap, references and availability
The HydroConquest Commonwealth Games 2026 is supplied on a black rubber strap with a double-folding clasp and micro-adjustment. Lug width is 20mm on the 39mm model and 21mm on the 42mm version.
