Klokers has always occupied a curious corner of watch design, where time is read less like a dial and more like an instrument scale.
With the new KLOK03, that idea moves into mechanical territory for the first time, pairing the brand’s signature disc display with an automatic movement and a noticeably more dimensional layout.
It’s also a restart of sorts, following a decade of quartz models and a complicated company history that included bankruptcies in 2020 and 2023.

At a glance
- Klokers has introduced the KLOK03, its first automatic watch after a decade of quartz-powered models.
- The watch uses three stacked rotating discs for hours, minutes and seconds, read vertically through a magnifier at 6 o’clock.
- It is available in six versions at EUR 890 including VAT, with a launch price of EUR 790 until 20 December.
A familiar Klokers idea, rebuilt in layers
The KLOK03 keeps the central Klokers proposition intact, which is a watch without conventional hands.
Instead, time is displayed across three rotating discs aligned to a single vertical reading line.
The lower disc shows the hours, the middle disc shows the minutes and the central disc tracks the seconds.

The reading point sits under a magnifier at 6 o’clock, giving the display a technical, slide-rule-like character without turning it into a puzzle.
The important visual change is depth.
Earlier Klokers models such as the KLOK01 and KLOK08 used flatter counter-clockwise discs, while the KLOK03 stacks its discs in tiers and has them rotate clockwise.

That gives the watch a more sculptural dial architecture and makes the display feel less like a graphic experiment and more like a mechanical object.
The first mechanical Klokers
Every Klokers watch produced between 2015 and 2025 used quartz, which made the concept accessible and helped the brand build a following among collectors drawn to unconventional displays.
The KLOK03 changes that with a Miyota 82S0 automatic movement, running at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a stated 42-hour power reserve.

It’s a pragmatic choice rather than a precious one, and that suits the watch.
The appeal here is not haute horlogerie theatre, but the meeting of an offbeat time display with a robust automatic calibre at a price below EUR 900.
The case is 316L stainless steel and measures 40mm across, 13.9mm thick and 45mm from lug to lug.

A sapphire crystal with the Klokers logo covers the display, while the caseback is solid and water resistance is rated to 30 metres.
Six versions and a more conventional strap setup
The launch collection includes six versions named Yellow Dot, Blue Note, Yuri, Desert Storm, Orange Dot and Kaki K.
Yellow Dot and Blue Note revisit colourways that had already proved popular in earlier Klokers collections.

The other four bring in new combinations, including Yuri with a blue dial, green dot and rotating world map, Desert Storm with sand beige tones and a matte case, Orange Dot with an orange accent on black, and Kaki K in khaki.
One of the bigger practical changes is at the strap.
The earlier patented Klokers system allowed the watch head to detach and move between straps and accessories, but the system proved difficult to make reliable.

For the KLOK03, the brand has moved to a conventional quick-release spring-bar mechanism.
That means straps from other brands can be fitted, though straps from the KLOK01 and KLOK08 are not compatible.
The message is clear enough: the KLOK03 is designed as a complete watch, not as a modular head.

The KLOK03 won’t be for anyone who wants instant legibility in the traditional sense, but that has never been the point of Klokers.
For collectors who enjoy alternative time displays and want the tactile satisfaction of an automatic movement, this is the brand’s most convincing reset yet.
