Girard-Perregaux is giving the Laureato Fifty a more permanent place in its catalogue.
After marking the Laureato’s 50th anniversary with a limited-edition model, the brand is now expanding the idea into four stainless steel watches across 36mm and 39mm cases.
The result is less a reinvention than a careful sharpening of one of the most recognisable integrated-bracelet sports watches still in production.

A smaller Laureato Fifty joins the 39mm case
The Laureato has always relied on proportion as much as geometry.
Its octagonal bezel, circular plinth, tonneau-shaped middle case and integrated bracelet are familiar codes, but the new 36mm case gives the design a noticeably more compact reading.
Both the 36mm and 39mm versions measure 9.8mm thick, which keeps the watch lean for a steel sports model with 150 metres of water resistance.
The finishing remains central to the Laureato’s character, with brushed and polished surfaces used to emphasise the transition between bezel, case and bracelet.
That interplay is especially important on a design this architectural, where small changes in light can alter how broad, slim or faceted the watch appears on the wrist.
Dial work gives the collection its strongest identity
The standout model is the 39mm blue enamel version, which brings an unusually traditional craft into the Laureato’s sporting framework.
Girard-Perregaux applies translucent enamel over the collection’s Clous de Paris pattern, allowing the texture beneath to shape the colour as the dial moves through changing light.
It’s also the cleanest of the four new watches, using a no-date layout that lets the enamel and guilloché-style surface carry the design.
The rose-gold-toned dials are available in both 36mm and 39mm cases, using the same Clous de Paris motif with a warmer metallic finish.
These versions include a date at 3 o’clock, as does the 36mm silver-toned model with a diamond-set bezel.
That diamond-set version uses 64 brilliant-cut stones totalling approximately 0.55 carats, set around the Laureato’s octagonal bezel without obscuring the shape that defines the watch.
Across the collection, the dials use luminous baton hands, applied indices and a double index at 12 o’clock, while the Girard-Perregaux name remains printed in full on the dial.
The GP4800 movement keeps the anniversary spirit alive
All four models are powered by the manufacture calibre GP4800, the modern automatic movement introduced for the Laureato Fifty.
It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 60 hours of power reserve.
The technical package includes a silicon escapement, a variable-inertia balance and ceramic ball bearings in the winding system.
The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback, where Girard-Perregaux adds Geneva stripes, anglage, circular graining, sunray finishing and polished detailing.
A rose-gold balance bridge is reserved for the Laureato Fifty collection, giving the calibre a distinct visual marker rather than simply hiding its upgrades inside the case.
Bracelet comfort and permanent collection pricing
The integrated stainless steel bracelet continues the case’s mix of brushed and polished surfaces.
More importantly for daily wear, the folding clasp now includes a micro-adjustment system with up to 4mm of travel.
That kind of practical refinement matters on an integrated-bracelet watch, where fit can make the difference between occasional admiration and regular use.
Pricing starts at CHF 20,500 for the 39mm rose-gold-toned dial and the 36mm rose-gold-toned dial models.
The 39mm blue enamel model is priced at CHF 21,800, while the 36mm silver dial with diamond-set bezel is priced at CHF 21,500.
