Eat Spain, Drink Spain is returning to Qatar for a second edition, and this year the campaign is taking a broader view of Spanish gastronomy across Doha.
Running from 20 September to 4 October 2026, the programme brings together restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, specialty food shops and culinary events for a citywide celebration of Spanish food culture.
For a dining market as international as Qatar’s, where nearly 80 percent of residents come from outside the country, the campaign lands in a particularly receptive setting.

At a glance
- Eat Spain, Drink Spain returns to Qatar from 20 September to 4 October 2026 for its second edition.
- The campaign features Spanish dishes, tastings, cooking demonstrations, retail promotions and chef-led activations across Doha.
- Participating venues include restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, specialty retailers, delivery partners and culinary education spaces.
A broader Spanish table across Doha
The second edition follows a successful debut that introduced Spanish ingredients and culinary traditions to a wider audience in Qatar.
This year’s programme leans into range, from familiar classics to more contemporary interpretations shaped by local chefs and participating kitchens.
Diners can expect dishes such as paella, tortilla española, gambas al ajillo and croquetas, alongside produce-led favourites including Manchego cheese and Padrón peppers.

It’s a useful reminder that Spanish cuisine isn’t one single style but a patchwork of regional habits, pantry staples, coastal cooking, market food and convivial dining rituals.
Restaurants, retailers and cooking events
The restaurant line-up spans a varied set of Doha addresses, with Curiosa, Stoke & Stoker, The Cellar, Coya, Amaru, Muru, Secret Garden, La Pergola and IKA among the participating venues.
Rather than limiting the campaign to restaurant dining, the organisers have widened access through supermarkets and food retailers.

The Meat Market, Monoprix, Carrefour and LuLu Hypermarket will feature Spanish products on shelves, supported by campaign promotions during the two-week run.
Specialist Spanish brands Delaviuda and El Almendro are also taking part, extending the focus into confectionery and pantry goods.
Snoonu joins as a delivery partner, while The Cooking Academy will host a cooking contest as part of the activity calendar.

The mix of tastings, cooking demonstrations and chef-led events should give residents and food professionals a more tactile way to engage with Spanish cuisine, beyond simply ordering a dish from a menu.
Doha’s place in a global food campaign
Eat Spain, Drink Spain is organised by Foods from Spain and Alimentos de España through the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Doha.
The campaign sits within the wider Spain Food Nation initiative, which promotes Spanish food and drink internationally.

For 2026, the programme is being staged in 18 countries across Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and North America, with Doha forming part of that wider network.
That global framing matters, but the Qatar edition is clearly built around local accessibility.
By involving restaurants, retailers, delivery platforms and culinary education spaces, the campaign gives people several ways into the Spanish table, whether that’s a dinner booking, a supermarket purchase or a hands-on kitchen event.

A full calendar of activations, dates and times has been prepared for residents planning to take part during the campaign window.
For anyone curious about Spanish cooking, or simply looking for a reason to revisit familiar favourites, Eat Spain, Drink Spain gives Doha two weeks of focused flavour without asking diners to approach it in only one way.
