Bentley’s next Supersports is edging closer to the open-air treatment.
A convertible prototype has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring, giving the clearest look yet at how the more focused model could translate into a roof-down grand tourer.
Images shared by @carspymedia show a car that already appears close to production, with only light camouflage and plenty of aggressive bodywork on display.

At a glance
- Bentley’s upcoming Supersports Convertible has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring.
- The prototype shows a fabric roof, deep front splitter, prominent aero additions and a boot-mounted spoiler.
- The model is expected to arrive in 2027 with a 4.0-litre V8 producing 656 hp.
A sharper open-top Bentley takes shape
The prototype is finished in matte black with matching black wheels, a combination that makes the body changes stand out without needing much disguise.
Up front, the car wears a distinctive grille above a deep front splitter, while large side air intakes give the nose a more purposeful look.
Double dive planes on each side of the bumper add to the track-leaning character, a visual cue that fits the Supersports badge more than Bentley’s usual restrained approach.

From the side, prominent sill extensions run toward the rear of the car, helping the convertible look lower and more planted.
The fabric roof is the key detail
The clearest difference from the fixed-roof Supersports development cars is the visible fabric roof.
With the top raised, the prototype gives a useful indication of the production silhouette, keeping the broad-shouldered stance while adding the softer roofline expected of a Bentley convertible.
At the rear, an integrated diffuser and a large single-piece spoiler mounted on the boot lid complete the more assertive aero package.
It’s a notably extroverted treatment for an open-top Bentley, but the Supersports name has historically carried a more performance-focused brief.
Expected V8 power and 2027 timing
The Supersports Convertible is expected to use a 4.0-litre V8 producing 656 hp.
That figure places the car firmly in high-performance grand touring territory, though Bentley has not confirmed further technical details in the information available here.
The model is expected to arrive in 2027, giving Bentley time to refine the roofed and convertible variants before launch.
