The Aquascaphe MK2 now broadens that formula with a date option, placed at 6 o’clock and matched to the dial colour to preserve the clean, symmetrical look of the watch.

A sharper Aquascaphe with two case sizes
The MK2 replaced the long-running Aquascaphe Classic with a more refined case, tighter bezel feel and a broader spread of sizes.
Buyers can choose between a compact 37mm case and a larger 39.5mm version, both in stainless steel and both rated to 200 metres of water resistance.
The profile stays relatively slim at 12.9mm including the double-domed sapphire crystal, or 10.7mm without the crystal’s height.
Flat-topped crown guards, a screw-down crown and vertically brushed case surfaces give the MK2 a crisper stance than the earlier Classic, while drilled lugs keep the tool-watch character intact.
The double-domed sapphire crystal is a neat touch because it echoes the distortion of vintage acrylic while offering modern scratch resistance.
The date sits where it should
The new date model avoids the usual disruption of a 3 o’clock aperture by moving the window to 6 o’clock.
That position works particularly well on a vintage-leaning diver because it keeps the hour-marker layout balanced and doesn’t pull the eye away from the dial’s central geometry.
Baltic has also used colour-matched date discs, a decision that matters more than it might sound on a watch built around clean proportions.
The dial choices include blue and green with glossy lacquered finishes, alongside grey and warm silver with matte grained surfaces.
Green, blue and grey models receive matching sapphire bezel inserts, while the warm silver dial is paired with a contrasting black bezel.
Legibility is central to the update, with 0.4mm-thick applied Lumicast indices made from solid Super-LumiNova BGW9.
The enlarged hands and fully graduated 60-minute bezel scale are also treated with Super-LumiNova BGW9, keeping the watch aligned with its diving brief rather than just its retro styling.
Miyota movements and easy strap changes
The no-date Aquascaphe MK2 uses the Miyota 9039 automatic calibre, while the MK2 Date uses the Miyota 9015.
Both run at 28,800 vibrations per hour, offer a 42-hour power reserve and include hacking seconds for more precise time-setting.
Strap choice is a meaningful part of the package.
The watch can be ordered on an FKM vulcanised rubber strap with a saffiano-style embossed texture, a beads-of-rice steel bracelet or a flat link steel bracelet.
All options use quick-release spring bars, which suits the Aquascaphe’s role as a daily dive watch that can move from rubber to bracelet without tools.
