Oris has revisited one of its most distinctive modern pilot’s watches, giving the ProPilot Calibre 111 a more defined look without disturbing the mechanical idea that made it stand out.
The update brings the design language closer to the latest ProPilot Date, with revised dial finishing, refined case details and improved strap ergonomics around the brand’s hand-wound 10-day calibre.
At a glance
- Oris has introduced a redesigned ProPilot Calibre 111 with black and pine green dial options.
- The watch keeps the in-house hand-wound Calibre 111, offering a 10-day power reserve from a single large mainspring barrel.
- Prices start at CHF 5,900 / €5,900 / US$7,200 on Cordovan leather and CHF 6,100 / €6,100 / US$7,400 on bracelet.
A more structured ProPilot dial
The main change is on the dial, where Oris has rebalanced the ProPilot’s instrument character with a more considered surface treatment.

The central dial surface now uses vertical brushing, while the organic texture seen in the recent ProPilot Date evolution appears around the dial and between the applied hour markers.
That shift gives the watch a cleaner and more architectural feel, particularly because the textured element is no longer the dominant visual feature.
Both the black and pine green versions use the same display, with central hours and minutes, small seconds, a date window and a non-linear power reserve indicator.

The applied indices and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova, keeping legibility central to the design rather than treating it as a secondary detail.
The familiar aviation cues remain
The ProPilot identity is still clearly present, most notably through the angled fluting on the bezel and the oversized crown.
Those details maintain the watch’s connection to aviation instruments, but the redesigned surfaces make the 43 mm steel case feel more disciplined than before.

The case measures 13.2 mm thick and 51 mm lug to lug, with a domed sapphire crystal carrying internal anti-reflective coating.
A screw-in crown and 100 metres of water resistance give the watch the practical footing expected from a modern everyday mechanical piece.
The screwed case back includes a sapphire display window, allowing a view of the movement inside.

The appeal of a hand-wound 10-day calibre
Calibre 111 remains the technical centre of the watch.
The in-house hand-wound movement delivers 240 hours of power reserve, or ten days, from a single large mainspring barrel.
It runs at 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour, and was first presented in the Artelier collection before finding a natural home in the more tool-oriented ProPilot family.

The non-linear power reserve display is a useful part of the experience, especially on a watch that can run for well over a week between winds.
It also gives the dial a recognisable asymmetry, separating the Calibre 111 from more conventional pilot’s watch layouts.
Bracelet and strap choices
Oris offers the new ProPilot Calibre 111 on either a multi-piece stainless steel bracelet or a dark brown Cordovan leather strap.

Both options use the LIFT folding clasp, which benefits from the ergonomic refinements introduced with the latest ProPilot Date line.
The update also includes a seamless strap adjustment system, adding a practical benefit that’s easy to appreciate in daily wear.
