Nodus has a knack for making compact, approachable sport watches feel more distinctive than their price tags suggest.
Its latest Sector II releases push that idea further, with two stone-dial Sport models joining the regular catalogue and a separate Holme & Hadfield collaboration adding a clever sapphire-dial twist to the Sector II Dive.
The appeal is straightforward. These are wearable 38mm watches with a bit more visual character than the usual matte-dial microbrand formula.

At a glance
- Nodus is making stone dials a permanent part of the Sector II Sport range with new Tiger’s Eye and Onyx models.
- The watches use natural stone dials, 38mm steel cases, 100m water resistance and the automatic TMI NH38 movement.
- The Tiger’s Eye is priced at $575, the Onyx at $600, while the Holme & Hadfield Sector II Dive is limited to 75 pieces at $650.
Stone dials become part of the Sector II Sport line
The two new Sector II Sport models arrive in Tiger’s Eye and Onyx, giving Nodus a permanent stone-dial offering after earlier small-run executions drew attention from collectors.
The Tiger’s Eye dial is the warmer and more expressive of the pair, with golden-brown mineral banding that changes from watch to watch.
That natural variation is the point. No two dials will line up in exactly the same way, which gives the otherwise restrained Sector II Sport a more personal character.

The Onyx version takes the opposite route, using a deep black stone surface with a smooth, glassy finish.
Nodus pairs it with a black DLC bezel and crown, which gives the watch a darker, more integrated look than the fully stainless steel Tiger’s Eye model.
Both watches keep the dial furniture deliberately simple, using applied markers and Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9.

The pencil hands and hour markers are filled with blue Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade A, so the stone dial treatment doesn’t come at the expense of legibility.
A compact case lets the dial do the work
The Sector II Sport case measures 38mm across and 11.7mm thick, a size that suits the watch’s clean, field-adjacent layout.
That restraint matters here because stone dials can easily overpower a design when the case, bezel and handset are too busy.

Nodus keeps the formula practical as well, with a screw-down crown, 100m of water resistance and a stainless steel bracelet.
Inside both models is the TMI calibre NH38, an automatic movement running at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a 41-hour power reserve.
The Sector II Sport Tiger’s Eye is priced at $575, while the Onyx is priced at $600 due to the additional DLC-coated components.

Both models go on sale on August 21 at 5pm BST and 9am PDT, with shipping scheduled from September 2.
The Holme & Hadfield Sector II Dive uses sapphire in a different way
Alongside the permanent stone-dial releases, Nodus has created a 75-piece Sector II Dive special edition with Holme & Hadfield.
The partnership makes sense in a watch-collector context, since Holme & Hadfield is known for display cases designed for watches, coins, knives, cigars, sunglasses and other collectibles.

The watch’s key detail is the dial construction.
At a glance it reads as a clean black dive watch dial, but the applied markers sit on a transparent sapphire disk placed above a black base.
The result is a subtle sense of depth, with the markers appearing to hover above the dial surface.

That use of sapphire nods neatly to Holme & Hadfield’s glass-top display cases without turning the watch into a logo exercise.
The Holme & Hadfield mark appears at 6 o’clock, while the handset combines an arrow hour hand, pencil minute hand and green lollipop seconds hand.
The Sector II Dive measures 38mm wide and 11.9mm thick, though its overhanging bezel extends to 40mm for easier grip.
The case body is stainless steel, while the bezel and screw-down crown are bronze, and the 60-minute bezel scale sits on a black DLC-coated steel insert.
It uses the same automatic TMI NH38 movement as the new Sector II Sport models, with a 41-hour power reserve and time-only functionality.
Early access for the Holme & Hadfield edition opens on August 27, with the first five orders receiving a Holme & Hadfield Watch Care Kit.
