McLaren’s latest MSO creation ties its road-car craft directly to one of the most significant milestones in the company’s racing history.
The McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO has been revealed to celebrate McLaren Racing’s 1,000th Formula 1 Grand Prix start, set to take place at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix.
It’s a collector-focused Artura shaped around the same visual language as the MCL40 livery takeover driven in Monaco by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

A road car tied to McLaren’s 1,000th F1 start
The Artura 1000GP by MSO sits at the intersection McLaren has always cared about most, where competition thinking informs the cars offered to clients.
Its timing matters because 1,000 Formula 1 starts is rare territory, especially for a team whose identity has been shaped as much by resilience as by speed.
McLaren’s racing story began in 1963, when Bruce McLaren formed a small independent team around a direct idea of moving quickly, working closely and building better.

More than six decades later, that same philosophy is being framed through a contemporary Artura rather than a museum piece.
MSO’s Monaco-inspired livery work
The exterior treatment takes cues from the livery takeover applied to the McLaren MCL40 for Monaco, the car campaigned by McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
MSO’s craftspeople have applied the 1000GP graphic across the bonnet, lower body sides and wing mirror casings.

The effect is more precise than theatrical, using the Artura’s surfaces as a canvas for a racing reference without turning it into a replica grand prix car.
A contrasting pinstripe on the front splitter and rear diffuser adds a heritage note, nodding to earlier McLaren liveries while keeping the finish firmly contemporary.
Papaya details and racing memory
Inside, the milestone is marked by a dedication plaque finished in a bespoke metallic papaya colour.

That detail matters because papaya has become one of McLaren’s strongest visual signatures, linking modern road cars, contemporary racing and the marque’s early identity in a single shade.
The plaque also gives the car a quieter point of focus, turning the cabin into the place where the commemorative intent is most explicit.
Nick Collins, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Group Holdings, described the car as a celebration of the shared mindset between McLaren’s racing and road-car teams, rooted in collective ambition, engineering excellence and Bruce McLaren’s enduring approach to progress.
