Jazeera Airways Opens Kuwait to Prague Winter Flights for the First Time

Prague has long been an easy summer favourite for travellers from Kuwait, but winter changes the mood of the city entirely.

Jazeera Airways is now giving that season a direct link, with its first winter service between Kuwait and the Czech capital announced in partnership with CzechTourism at ATM 2026.

The route is timed for school holidays, festive markets and the kind of European city break that feels distinctly different from the usual summer itinerary.

Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer Barathan Pasupathi described Prague as a consistently popular summer destination for the airline’s passengers, while noting that winter gives the city a different character through its markets, castles and celebratory atmosphere.

A nonstop flight removes much of the friction from a winter European escape, especially for families looking at a short seasonal trip rather than a complex multi-leg journey.

Prague’s winter appeal for Gulf travellers

Prague is already one of Central Europe’s most photogenic capitals, but winter sharpens its atmosphere.

The Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and riverside districts take on a more theatrical quality, helped by illuminated streets, festive squares and cold-weather food traditions.

The city’s winter markets are a major draw, particularly the celebrations centred around Old Town Square.

For visitors from Kuwait and the wider region, the combination of historic landmarks, museums, galleries, café culture and walkable neighbourhoods makes Prague an accessible alternative to larger European capitals.

CzechTourism’s Middle East and India representative Barbara Andelová said the winter flights will make it easier for travellers from Kuwait and the region to experience Czechia during one of its most atmospheric seasons.

The flights begin on 17 December and are scheduled to continue until 7 February 2027.

Jazeera Airways will operate the route twice weekly, creating a defined winter season that overlaps with school holidays and the festive travel period.
