Jacques Bianchi OM200 Brings Olympique de Marseille to a Navy-Born Diver

Jacques Bianchi has a particularly Marseille way of making a dive watch feel local.

Its latest OM200 takes the brand’s military-rooted JB200 platform and connects it with Olympique de Marseille, giving a serious 200-metre diver a set of details that should land with both watch people and match-day faithful.

The result isn’t just a logo on a dial, but a watch that folds football timing, club colour and the brand’s naval heritage into one compact idea.

The JB200 has its roots in Jacques Bianchi’s work for French Navy diving units during the 1980s and 1990s, where legibility and utility mattered more than decorative watchmaking flourishes.

That original case language returned in 2021 as an automatic re-edition, and it has since become the backbone of the modern Jacques Bianchi dive-watch line.

For the OM200, the connection to Olympique de Marseille feels unusually direct because both the club and the watch brand belong to the same city.

The most effective football detail sits on the bezel, which keeps the diver format but shifts the timing logic toward the pitch.

Its blue 60-click insert uses a 45-minute scale, while the stretch from 45 to 60 minutes is treated separately to evoke added time at the end of a half.

A luminous triangle at 12 o’clock preserves the traditional dive-watch reference point, so the idea doesn’t come at the expense of basic usability.

Club colours without losing tool-watch clarity

The OM200 uses a brushed stainless-steel case measuring 42mm across, paired with a sapphire crystal and 200 metres of water resistance.

The caseback carries the Olympique de Marseille logo, but the stronger visual signature is on the dial side.

Jacques Bianchi has chosen a deep blue dial made with a 20-layer enamel-like process, a detail that gives the club colour more depth than a flat lacquered surface would.

The OM crest is embossed into the centre, then sunray-brushed and enamelled, making it part of the dial architecture rather than a simple printed badge.

Applied indexes and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9, keeping the watch aligned with the practical legibility that defines the JB200 family.

The seconds hand adds the lightest touch of play, with a lollipop design whose counterweight is shaped like a football.

A chronometer movement and two blue straps

Inside the OM200 is the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic movement, here supplied as a COSC-certified chronometer.

It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is rated to -4/+6 seconds per day, with at least 38 hours of power reserve.

Jacques Bianchi has also kept the dial clean by omitting a date window, a decision that suits both the symmetry of the crest and the straightforward sports-watch brief.

The watch is delivered with two straps, both in blue.

One is an FKM rubber strap for daily wear and water use, while the other is a military-style elastic strap with a central white stripe.
