London’s summer calendar has its own uniform, and Corinthia London is putting the hat at the centre of it.
Inside the Crystal Moon Lounge, the hotel’s new Hats Off to the Summer Season installation pairs Lock & Co. Hatters’ 350 years of craft with flowers by FLOWERBX and menus built around British summer ingredients.
Lock and Co. arrives in the Crystal Moon Lounge
The partnership brings together two London names with a clear sense of occasion, one rooted in hospitality and the other in the long, exacting world of millinery.

Founded in 1676 on St James’s Street, Lock & Co. Hatters is widely recognised as the world’s oldest hat shop and remains connected to the founding family after seven generations.
For Corinthia London, the collaboration turns the Crystal Moon Lounge into something closer to a summer salon than a conventional hotel display.
A hat-led tour of the British social calendar
The installation looks to the events that still define British summer dressing, including Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Ascot, Henley Royal Regatta and Wimbledon.

Rather than treating hats as accessories, the display frames them as cultural markers, with bonnets, bowlers, pillboxes and occasion headpieces placed among the lounge’s bright architectural columns.
A central floral arrangement by FLOWERBX gives the room a garden-party atmosphere, softening the formality of the hats while keeping the mood polished.
Summer menus with a sense of occasion
The experience continues beyond the display, with the Crystal Moon Lounge and The Garden restaurant serving menus shaped by the flavours of the British season.

At The Garden, the mood is relaxed but refined, with dishes that lean into countryside and coastal ingredients at their peak.
Afternoon Tea in the Crystal Moon Lounge follows the same theme, moving from savoury bites to patisserie with the theatrical pace expected of a London hotel tea.
Highlights include Kentish Raspberry Cheesecake, Highgrove Honey Puff Pastry and Apricot Bakewell Tart, each adding a familiar British note to the fashion-led setting.

A London address for dressed-up summer rituals
Hats Off to the Summer Season lands at a moment when luxury hotels are increasingly acting as cultural stages, not just places to stay or dine.
For guests, collectors of British style and anyone planning a polished afternoon in the capital, Corinthia London’s latest installation offers an easy way into the pageantry of the season without needing a race-day invitation.
