Audemars Piguet is sharpening the smaller Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph for the season with three new 37 mm references and a more modern movement architecture.
The update matters because it brings the recently introduced Calibre 6401 into one of the Offshore’s most wearable formats, while adding brighter colours, slimmer proportions and, for the first time in this line, titanium cases.
It’s still unmistakably Offshore, but with a lighter touch and a more polished sense of daily usability.

At a glance
- Audemars Piguet has introduced three new 37 mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph models with Calibre 6401.
- The in-house automatic chronograph movement is thinner, visible through a sapphire caseback and offers a 55-hour power reserve.
- The trio includes two titanium references, one of them diamond-set, alongside an 18-carat pink gold model with a diamond-set bezel.
Calibre 6401 moves the smaller Offshore forward
The key change sits behind the dial.
Calibre 6401 now makes its way into the 37 mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph, replacing Calibre 2385, the long-running automatic chronograph movement introduced in 1997.
Developed in-house over five years, Calibre 6401 is an integrated selfwinding chronograph with a column wheel and vertical clutch.

Audemars Piguet has also refined the architecture to reduce the number of components and remove unnecessary play, giving the pushers a more responsive feel with less pressure needed to start, stop and reset the chronograph.
The movement runs at 4 Hz and delivers a 55-hour power reserve.
Just as importantly for a modern Royal Oak Offshore, it can now be seen through a sapphire caseback.

The finishing includes Côtes de Genève, satin-brushed and polished surfaces, and a rhodium-toned 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight with dark grey NAC coating.
A slimmer 37 mm case with sharper summer colour
The new models keep the Offshore’s assertive character, but the execution is more compact and more considered.
The case is slightly thinner than previous versions, while the bezel is curved from 6 to 12 o’clock to soften the watch’s stance on the wrist.

On the case flanks, redesigned push-piece guards bring polished angles that flow into the case middle, giving the chronograph architecture a cleaner profile.
The dial also receives meaningful updates rather than a simple colour refresh.
The Tapisserie pattern now uses larger squares, while new bathtub-style hands, enlarged Arabic numerals and small luminous markers on the inner bezel improve the sense of depth and legibility.

The date has moved from 4:30 to 6 o’clock, a small but welcome adjustment that brings better visual balance to the chronograph layout.
Each watch is fitted with an interchangeable rubber strap, with the underside moulded with the AP monogram.
Three Royal Oak Offshore references with distinct personalities
The first reference is the cleanest and sportiest of the trio, pairing a titanium case with a turquoise Tapisserie dial, matching counters, matching inner bezel and a coordinated turquoise rubber strap.
Rhodium-toned numerals and 18-carat white gold hands filled with white luminescent material keep the dial crisp against the bright colour palette.
The second model also uses titanium, but adds a stainless steel bezel set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 1 carat.
Its pink dial, inner bezel and rubber strap create the most playful version in the set, balanced by white luminescent numerals and hands for readability.
The third reference takes a more precious route with an 18-carat pink gold case and a diamond-set bezel of approximately 1 carat.
Here, a light blue Tapisserie dial and inner bezel contrast with 18-carat pink gold time indicators filled with matching blue luminescent material, while pink gold thread around the tone-on-tone counters adds a discreet decorative accent.
Across the pink and turquoise versions, the luminous hour markers appear white by day and glow green in the dark.
On the pink gold model, the blue hour markers also glow green at night.
